We are an inclusive school. We actively seek to remove any barriers to learning and participation to ensure all children can do their absolute best.
Equality of Opportunity must be a reality for our children. This means we adapt to allow all children the same opportunity wherever possible. This spans a wide continuum from having a wheelchair to move around or a special cushion to provide sensory feedback and so aid concentration, to using a pencil grip to assist handwriting or extra time with an adult to discuss emotional difficulties.
We believe all children are different and have different needs, which is why support is planned on an individual basis.
Meet our Special Needs Team –

The Inclusion Team is a team of professionals who work within school. They meet together in school on a weekly basis. The team plan for children who need extra support due to a variety of factors such as Social and Emotional needs, Cognition and Learning difficulties such as Dyslexia, Speech and Language Difficulties, Medical Issues, English as an Additional Language, and Behavioural Needs. The Inclusion Team review support provided within school and when necessary make referrals to outside agencies such as our school nursing team or speech and language therapist.
