School Uniform Requirements
School uniform is encouraged to foster a sense of belonging to the school. School jumpers, cardigans, polo shirts, PE T-shirt, waterproof jackets, book bags, and logoed baseball caps are available to order online through our supplier, Brigade Uniform Direct. - Hair longer than the shoulders be tied back for PE lessons and also if hair is long enough to cover the eyes when working for health and safety reasons.
- Earrings, if worn, must only be small studs, not large earrings or hoops – for health and safety reasons. These will need to be covered by tape/plasters for P.E, please provide these.
- There should be no make-up or nail varnish worn at school.
We are aware that the cost of living is rising. Therefore, as long as uniform is plain (no slogans or logos) and follows the colours as listed, your child will be dressed appropriately to attend Baldwins Hill School. In addition, the PTA have a plentiful stock of second hand uniform available.
- Polo shirt – emerald green
- School Sweatshirt/Cardigan – navy blue
- Tailored Trouser – grey or black
- Pinafore dress/skirt – grey or black
- Dress in shades of green with neat check or stripe pattern
- Tailored Shorts – grey or black
- Socks – white, grey or black
- Tights – plain grey or black
- Sensible black shoes – no heels please
- Plain jacket/anorak/coat
- Waterproof fleeces
- Baseball caps
P.E. Kit
- Shorts – navy blue or black
- PE t shirt – emerald green
- Black plimsolls (or trainers for outside wear which do not extend above the ankle)
- Plain tracksuit bottoms – navy blue or black (for outside PE sessions)
Outdoor Learning Clothes
- Clothes which you don’t mind getting dirty
- These will be weather dependent but may include tracksuit bottoms, T-shirt and jumper. Layers may be required if really cold
- Waterproof coat
- Wellingtons or shoes which can get muddy
Clubs
Additional items of clothing may be needed to take part in some extra curricular sporting activities:-
- Football – boots, shin pads, mouth guards (optional)
- Environmental – Wellingtons, tracksuits bottoms
All clothing, including jackets, MUST be clearly named
In hot weather please ensure you send your child in to school with plenty of sun cream applied (preferably no lower than factor 15), a sun hat and a water bottle which your child can refill throughout the day.
An old shirt or apron for art and craft would also be helpful. It can be kept in their PE bag so it is always available.
Lost Property
Valuables such as watches etc are handed in to the School Office until claimed. We do our best to reunite children and their property however; we can only do this if everything is clearly labelled.
