Headteacher's Welcome

On behalf of the pupils, staff and governors of Baldwins Hill School, may I welcome you to our website.

Baldwins Hill School is part of the Everychild Partnership Trust. The Trust is responsible for the overall strategy and ensuring the schools meet established success criteria. The Local Governing Body is responsible for working alongside school leaders in monitoring and ensuring standards are improving.

Our school motto is ‘Growing Great…’, because this is what we want our pupils to feel each and every day, in every aspect of their life. They are growing great minds, hearts, relationships…the list is endless! Our school values of “Compassion, Courage, Responsibility and Respect” underpin our work because we know these four values contribute strongly to positive attitudes to learning both in school and the world outside.

An integral part of our school is the resounding commitment to inclusion and raising standards for all pupils. The team work very hard to ensure the children achieve high standards across key areas, however we also want our pupils to experience a broad and irresistible curriculum through our passion for learning and inspirational teaching.

Miss Jenny Dabell
Headteacher

The team work tirelessly to provide exciting and relevant learning experiences which stimulate as well as challenge pupils. I want to hear our pupils telling their families about the exciting learning they have experienced each and every day.

Baldwins Hill provides adventurous and residential visit opportunities to enhance the curriculum alongside more local visits, to celebrate our town and rich history. We also participate in local events such as Armed Forces day. All of these things contribute to a rich and balanced educational experience.

As a school we are committed to a strong working partnership with parents and carers in order that each individual pupil should gain maximum benefit from their seven years of education at Baldwins Hill. We have established a Parents’ Forum which has brought about several improvements, including a review and update of our homework system.

Every year we carefully analyse feedback from parents, pupils and staff and the information is used in addition to statistical data to form our School Improvement Plan (SIP), which we share with parents. This allows us to create a culture of improvement and adapt to the needs of our community.

Finally, I believe that it is our pupils that make us what we are and we are very proud of them all. I am sure that when visiting the school you will recognise the commitment and sense of purpose that our staff team and pupils possess. I do hope you enjoy the contents of this website and if it does not provide you with enough information do not hesitate to contact our school office.
