Welcome

Headteacher's Welcome

On behalf of the pupils, staff and governors of Baldwins Hill School may I welcome you to our website.

Baldwins Hill School is part of the Grenestede Multi Academy Trust alongside our sister school, Halsford Park.  The Trust is responsible for the overall strategy and ensuring the schools meet established success criteria.  The Local Governing Body is responsible for working alongside school leaders in monitoring and ensuring standards are improving.

Our Core Values of "Compassion, Courage, Responsibility and Respect" underpin our work because we know these four values contribute strongly to positive attitudes to learning both in school and the world outside.

Our commitment to inclusion and raising standards for all pupils is an integral part of our school.  We all work very hard to ensure the children achieve high standards especially in the key areas of Maths and English. However we also want our pupils to experience a broad and balanced curriculum.  Baldwins Hill still provides two residential visit opportunities to enhance the curriculum alongside other educational visits.  We also participate in local events such as the East Grinstead Group of Schools (EGGS) annual music festival. All of these things contribute to a rich and balanced educational experience.

As a school we are committed to a strong working partnership with parents and carers in order that each individual pupil should gain maximum benefit from their seven years of education at Baldwins Hill. We have established a Parents’ Forum which has brought about several improvements, including a planned overhaul of our homework system.

Every year we carefully analyse feedback from parents, pupils and staff and the information is used in addition to statistical data to form our School Improvement Plan (SIP), which we share with parents.  This allows us to create a culture of improvement and adapt to the needs of our community.

Finally, I believe that it is our pupils that make us what we are and we are very proud of them all. I am sure that when visiting the school you will recognise the commitment and sense of purpose that our staff team and pupils possess. I do hope you enjoy the contents of this website and if it does not provide you with enough information do not hesitate to contact our school office.
