In teaching Maths, our main aim at Baldwins Hill Primary School is to encourage each child to have confidence and a positive attitude towards Mathematics. With this in mind, we aim to link their learning to real life situations. We provide a wide range of ‘hands on’ practical experiences where children are actively involved in becoming real life mathematicians. We use the Edison Learning achievement statements to deliver the National Curriculum in each year group. Children are encouraged to question, investigate, solve and share their findings with their peers and adults in a variety of ways using appropriate Mathematical vocabulary.
